(Study of the contemporary dwelling space of the Dominican Republic and its necessary and further development – from the minimal traditional unit to a coherent residential space for the modern Dominican individual.)
The project defined with this group of essays and exercises is an abstract proposal for reinterpreting the current individual/habitat established relations, an alternative way of understanding the main structure of (what should be) today’s residential architecture. This project studies the need of a contemporary dwelling that incorporates into its core the concept of today’s temporality, our own critical interpretations of the cycles that define our current needs and existence, moving away from the traditional symbols of the 20th century.
